So here I’ve been, telling you all about what types of wine to get for which occasions, and I haven’t even bothered to talk about my favourite places to get the wine, for Heaven’s sake! That’s hardly any way to give anyone advice, to tell them what to do but not where to go to do it. Like telling someone to get plumbing work done, but not mentioning the best commercial plumbing contractors Kansas City MO has to offer. Hardly a good way to give advice. So, as you can imagine, I’ve decided to give you a run down of some of the places to buy wine. Granted, you probably know about most of these places, depending on where you live, but here’s my opinion about the various vendors, anyway.

Solo Wine
So you’re drinking wine alone. There are a couple of reasons this could be happening. First, you could have had a crap day. This happens to the best of us. You’ve been at work all day, maybe your shift got extended past what you thought you would be working because the restaurant or store or whatever was extra busy. So not only were you there longer than you wanted to be, but you had to deal with more people that you had expected. And then maybe your stump grinding service guys were late. Always a nightmare. Or maybe there was a deal you were supposed to have closed at the office, but it fell through (I don’t know how any of that would work, because I have obviously never had a real job in which I have had to close any deals … I don’t even know if that’s a thing that people say).
Restaurant Wine
Ah, the dilemma of the restaurant wine. I will only get wine at a restaurant if I am there with my boyfriend, and it’s a pretty special occasion. I’m talking birthday, anniversary, something along those lines. And even then, we don’t always indulge. The thing about the restaurant wine is that you know that you can get wine that’s probably just as good at the LCBO or some other friendly neighbourhood liquor store for cheaper. And that is something that I think about before I order a bottle (or a glass, but I’ll get to that later), but I also think well, realistically, I could make this pasta dish for like three dollars at home, and yet here I am spending twelve …. it’s not like I’m paying for metal roofing contractors Fayetteville NC to jazz up my roof which I definitely couldn’t render myself. Basically, what I’m saying is that when you go to a restaurant, you just kind of have to accept that you’re paying for the experience and the service, not just the food and libations.
Classy Party Wine
There are a couple of instances in which you may have to choose what we will call the classy party wine. That is, which bottle of wine you’re going to take to semi-grown-up, fancy dinner parties, those you’re perhaps reaching via waterloo limo companies. This may sound simple, but I’m afraid it’s not. We must initially consider the host of the party. Is it a close friend, or someone you know pretty well, and you’re super sure is chilled out about cheap-ass wine? If so, feel free to go with some cheap-ass wine. We are Millennials, hear our bank accounts groan. We all get it. If I invite someone over to dinner, and they bring a cheap bottle of wine, I get that. In fact, I kind of expect it. We’re trying to adult, sure, heck, we’re having someone over for dinner, aren’t we? But we have not evolved to full adult yet. We still revel in the joy that is inexpensive alcohol.
